Volunteer at NCC Children's Ministry
At New Covenant Church volunteers work together in their unique roles to create a fun and friendly environment for kids and their families. NCC is run by people in all stages of life with a variety of vocations and backgrounds. What we all have in common is a desire see kids come to a vibrant lifelong relationship with Jesus. Each one of our teachers, worship leaders, greeters, volunteers and pastors love kids and want them to know a loving God.
Volunteer Opportunities
● Small Group Leaders- The foundation of our Children’s Ministry. Small group leaders will lead a small group of children in Bible lessons each Sunday in a classroom.
● Assistant Leaders- Assist the small group leader in the classroom each Sunday. This can entail helping the students stay on task, passing out supplies, answering questions, and so on.
● Large Group Leaders- A “host” who will be on stage and help transition the large group of students from one activity to the next. This host will summarize the Bible story, pray, lead a game, help kids practice the memory verse, learn the daily application, and dismiss students to small groups.
● Skit- Actors/actresses who will memorize a script and act on stage during large group. They will be responsible to help bring the Bible lesson to life with a short skit.
● Game Leader/Hype- Lead the large group of elementary students in a game on Sunday.
● Greeters/Check-In- Help members and guests feel welcomed & valued as they arrive at church on Sunday. Greeters will be responsible to check-in students and answer any questions or direct those in need.
● Worship Leaders- 4th grade students and above who will be on stage and responsible to help lead the large group of kids worship in song and dance on Sunday mornings.
● Creative & Décor Team- Help with monthly and/or holiday decorations in the classrooms, hallways, and stage.
● Set-up/Tear Down- Preparing classrooms with all the supplies needed for Sunday small groups before each service and putting away all supplies after service as well as wiping down tables and chairs.
● Small Group Prep Team- Will help assemble, cut out, or design crafts and activities to be used on Sunday mornings during small group.
● Tech/Slideshow/Sound- Responsible for helping with tech, running slideshows for the elementary large group on Sunday and operating sound on the microphones and stage.
